Full-Service Plant Health Care
Everything Your Trees Need to Thrive

Want to know what your trees need? Our certified arborists check every tree on your property, from roots to crown, and send samples to the lab when needed. You get a complete written report: what’s healthy, what’s at risk and what to do first. It’s the best first step for any tree that looks off.

Most tree problems start in the soil. We take samples around your trees, and the lab measures nutrients, pH and organic matter. You get the results and a clear fix.

Leaves show what a tree is missing. We collect leaf samples, and the lab measures the nutrients inside them, so we treat the real shortage instead of guessing.

Leaf spots, cankers, wilting or sudden dieback? We send samples to the lab to confirm the disease, so treatment hits the right problem the first time.

Your custom plan, in writing. It lists each tree, what it needs and when: organic soil care, deep-root feeding, air spading, pruning, or insect and disease treatment.

We offer integrated pest management (IPM): regular monitoring, smart tree care and precise treatments, used only where and when your trees need them. That includes spotted lanternfly control.

Year-round care, done for you. We visit through the seasons to monitor, test and treat, and send you a written update after every visit.
Our Plant Health Care Process
Three Simple Steps to Healthier Trees
What Is Plant Health Care?
Plant health care is a year-round program that keeps trees and shrubs strong before small problems become big removals. We inspect, test, diagnose and treat the cause, not just the symptom. In Fairfax County, most tree problems start below ground: heavy clay soil, buried root flares (where the trunk widens into roots), construction damage and drought stress.
We fix the soil and the roots first with safe, targeted, science-based treatments, including organic options. We work with the most advanced local labs for soil, leaf and disease testing. Common problems we treat: spotted lanternfly, emerald ash borer, beech leaf disease, bacterial leaf scorch on oaks (only a lab test confirms it), maple bark splitting and compacted soil. See the top 5 bugs and diseases in Fairfax County.
We also do structural pruning and cabling and bracing. We protect trees during construction (try our critical root zone calculator). And we write arborist reports for HOAs, permits and home sales.

“The #1 mistake I see in Fairfax County yards is the mulch volcano: mulch piled up against the trunk. It keeps the bark wet, invites rot and insects, and can make roots circle and choke the tree. Next come trees planted too deep, and watering too much or too little. All three are easy to fix if we catch them early.”

Once a year for most properties, and twice a year for large, valuable or stressed trees. Seasonal programs make it automatic.
Yes. Problems like compacted soil and borers start out of sight. A yearly check catches them early.
Guessing wastes money and can even hurt the tree. A lab test shows exactly what’s missing, so we add only what your trees need.
Yes. IPM combines regular monitoring, good tree care and precise treatments, so your trees get exactly what they need and nothing they don’t.

Our certified arborists inspect the tree from roots to crown, then confirm it with soil tests, leaf analysis or a lab sample. You get the diagnosis and the plan in writing.
Air spading uses high-pressure air to remove soil around roots without damaging them. It uncovers buried root flares and breaks up compacted soil so roots can breathe and grow.
Often, yes, if we catch it early. We loosen compacted soil, feed the roots and prune out dieback to give the tree its best chance to recover.
